Heart Gallery of America

I found an organization that combines two really big passions in my life: photography and adoption!  The Heart Gallery of America is an incredible organization that tries to help kids be adopted by giving them the chance to have attractive photos for their case files.

Before they started getting involved, many placement photos for kids who need homes looked like mug shots.  Imagine if your whole future depended on a first impression, and all you could show someone was a copy of your drivers license picture.  It would be so frustrating to not be able to really explain yourself, or show someone all you had to offer, just because they weren't interested in knowing more after viewing your drivers license photo.

That's where this organization steps in.  They provide ways for photographers to take attractive pictures of adorable kids, and helps them make a better first impression.  Amazing.  When a picture is worth 1,000 words, you want it to say the very best.

Some of you know I also have a photography website, and in celebration of reaching a big paperwork milestone in our journey towards adoption, we're donating at least 30% of our profits from the website to this amazing organization.  You can read the article about it here on SchoneyPhoto.com's facebook page.

We'd really like to be able to make a significant contribution to this organization, and could use your help getting the word out!   I don't often ask for help in this way, but if you know of anyone who would be interested, could you please pass this post along?  You can use the boxes at the bottom of this post to email this post to someone, share it on Facebook, and more.  Thanks for your help!
