Your Honor....

Before Isaac's adoption, we had been trying to coach him on how to act in court.  For example, referring to the judge as "Your Honor."  

Normally they don't have kids under the age of 8 testify, but the lawyer decided that Isaac was up to the challenge, and we agreed.

Towards the end of his time on the stand, the lawyer told Isaac that he wanted to hear from him that he wanted to be adopted, so he asked Isaac to say, "Judge, I'd like to be adopted."

He had to tell Isaac a couple of times, and Isaac would look over at me, clearly not sure what to say, since he had been told by us not to call the judge, "Judge," but instead call her "Your Honor."  

The video had some focusing problems, but the audio is clear, and hilarious as Isaac finally makes his request:

To be clear, we really liked our lawyer, and would recommend him to anyone needing his services, but it was pretty funny when Isaac one-upped him in court!  You can't see it in the video, but the judge was also laughing a lot too!
