News from surgery

I have spent some time over this weekend wondering what the results of my surgery would be, and asking God to give us the strength to trust him for whatever He would give us.

Well, the results are in.  Dr. K took out 11 nodes.  And ZERO of them were positive!!!!!!!  Best news I've had in 2010.  This means:
* The cancer didn't spread any further.
* I only have stage 2b cancer
* Stage 4 cancer has been pretty much ruled out!!!
* I'll have less radiation further down the road

Aside from the WONDERFUL news today, healing from the surgery has felt like a long and painful process, but I think it's going pretty well.  I have been able to get up from the couch on my own today, which makes me feel quite a bit more independent.

That's about all I have for now - plus, typing makes my arm hurt (which is why nobody is getting an emailed response from me right now!)

Praise the Lord!  We are committed to praising Him no matter what happens in our life, but this is a wonderful day!

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
