I'm very excited about this whole thing, and couldn't wait to start cooking with the hormone-free, antibiotic free beef! So, for dinner tonight, I pulled out a roast. So far, it looks about like any other roast fresh out of the freezer: very cold.
Once it thawed a bit, I added all the seasonings. Still looks pretty much like a regular roast to me.
(sorry for those of you who are grossed out by raw beef pictures. I know how you feel, I almost threw up during the conversation about the cow tongue this morning. Ugh.)
The real test will be in how it tastes tonight - I'll let you know how it goes!
