Dear Pastor,

If you already knew all the things that God is trying to convict me of, and all the things in my life that I need to work on and change, couldn't we have just had a private conversation in your office instead of telling all those things to the entire church?

Sincerely,
Kelli

In all seriousness, I LOVED the message today at church.  It really hit home for me.  We're  working through Romans 12, and today we focused on verses 1 and 2:
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We talked about the "patterns of the world" - wrath, greed, sloth, pride, envy, and gluttony, to name a few (those are also the "7 deadly sins"), and how we are instead to be completely in tune with what God has for us, and live our lives to the glory of God.  So many of the more specific points resonated me, but even just reading that verse again, I am committed to living that out in my life.

THEN - toward the end, he challenged us, that if we will do this, and commit to living our lives for God, then we will taste and see that the Lord is good.   That really got my attention!

The full sermon will be available here on Monday morning.  It would be worth your time to listen!
