2 years and counting!

It's so strange to think that, as of today, it's been 2 years since I was diagnosed with cancer.  It feels like a lifetime ago, and yesterday, all at once.  It was an extremely painful time, yet it's a time I've come to look back on with thankfulness.

I could go into the details of that day, or rehash the year that followed, but honestly, I mostly just want to say that I'm incredibly thankful.   It's been two years, and after a recent trip to a few of my doctors (you really collect a bunch of them when you get something like cancer!), they say I'm in great health, doing well, and though they'll keep checking on me for awhile, they have no concerns.

It's incredible, really, to think of how God has blessed my life.  By his grace and mercy, I have beat cancer, and now on the other side, I have a wonderful, beautiful, full life.   And it's one I hope to never take for granted.
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalms 34:8.

  1. Awesome. I think you go beyond being a survivor, you are more of a thriver! (Spellcheck is mad at me, but I still like the word! :)
