First hormone-free beef dinner: Roast - the results!

Well, I cooked the roast last night, and promised to update on the results of our first hormone-free beef.  It was DELICIOUS.  I was too excited to wait for it to thaw, and yet after cooking it in the crock pot all afternoon, it was still so, so tender.

We had it with Iowa sweet corn that I had frozen this summer, and whole-grain wild rice.  The meat had really, really good flavor.  Yum!  I'm already looking forward to eating leftovers for lunch today.

For those of you thinking, "wow, those plates look really really full," it's because we use salad plates for dinner.  Rest assured, we did not fill dinner plates quite that full (although it would have been delicious).

So far, this whole hormone-free meat change is off to a good start!
